Anamaria is an Romanian actor. Her film debut came with Sex Traffic, a Channel 4 film, for which she won the British Academy Television Award as the most outstanding actress. She's fluent in French, German English, and Romanian. Her mother played the violin The father of her is a theater professor in one of Romania's best theatre schools. She won the Best Female Actor Award for the Year 2000 in the Mangalia Young Actor Gala. In 2008, she was recognized as"a European Shooting Star' by the European Film Promotion Board. She played Yasim Awar on BBC's five-episode The Last Enemy miniseries. Marinca appeared as Yasim Anwar in Oliver Hirschbiegel's Five Minutes of Heaven, along with Boogie, the Romanian film Boogie. In the movie Fury (2014) in which she appeared as Irma the German woman, who played Emma's aunt.
